Car Air Freshener
 Â
When it's cold and rainy, opening the windows and letting
the sunshine and fresh air won't work, so you may need to tackle it yourself. You may not be a huge fan of the air fresheners that just infuse the air with a faux "nice"
smell - now instead of wet socks, we have pine scented wet socks. Not a huge
improvement.Â
But DIY air fresheners can actually banishe the smell you don't
want! Â You will need:
- 1 small mason jarÂ
-  ¾ cup baking sodaÂ
- Â 5 drops essential oil (your choice - I like peppermint)Â
- Â Small piece of breathable fabric (I used a piece of an old lace curtain, but burlap or cheesecloth would also work) Â Â
2. Â Add the essential oil.
Â
3. Â Cut a small round piece of the fabric that will
fit in place of the lid.Â
4. Â Screw the lid ring around the fabric.Â
5. Â Place in a cup holder - the closer to the stink,
the better.Â
6. Â Although there is no need to "mix", every few
days I shake the jar to keep it fresh.
Easy, and yet it works wonders!
