Introducing the 2019 Giulia

When the norm just isn't exciting anymore, reach for the niche and new.  Alfa Romeo may not have as much fame as other luxury brands, but does that not simply guarantee you'll be stealing the limelight when driving up in one of these fascinating Italian-made machines?  The sophisticated and truly beautiful Giulia made a powerful return to the American market in 2017 to offer exceptional class-leading performance and spirited handling, and in the years following this revival has done nothing but constantly improve and provide further refinement of its fantastic product.  For 2019, the Giulia is offered in six trim levels: the base model, Sport, Ti, Ti Sport, Lusso, and Quadrifoglio. These models increase in luxury, technology, and speed, compounding in engineering to the top tier Quadrifoglio, the most powerful of the Alfa Romeo production, offering best-in-class V6 power and performance.

Options are the name of the 2019 game.  A treasure trove of new styling details can be picked and chosen from to make this vehicle pop out of the crowd exactly how you want it to.  New for the base model and Giulia Ti models, you can choose from new 17-inch Bright Cerchio aluminum wheels or 19-inch polished aluminum Y-spoke wheels, which are also offered within the Giulia Sport.  Two new paint options, Lipari Grey Metallic or Imola Titanium Metallic, join the twelve existing colors to bring new and unique 2019 looks. On the interior, a new Ice color scheme creates a soothing light grey/white cabin space that's a perfect balance of pristine cleanliness and futuristic flare.

New body packages deliver new trim-unique designs to this model year, as well.  Across all but the Lusso trim, the Nero Edizione offers specialized dark miron detailing across the exterior.  The V scudetto grille, mirror housings, headlamp bezels, window trims, exhaust tips, and badging all get a black edginess, taking the looks to all new seriousness.  With this package is Alfa Romeo's 19-inch five-hole aluminum wheel design, giving a dynamic vitality when the vehicle is parked or in motion. The Ti Sport and Quadrifoglio offers a vibrant Carbon Package, decking out the Giulia's V grille, mirror housings, side skirts, and exhaust tips with carbon fiber shine.  Within, the dash and upper door trim becomes leather wrapped with accent stitching, with matching carbon fiber interior accents and illuminated door sills.

For features, all Giulia trims gain optional heated rear seats and a premium alarm system.  There are a few new standard design elements, as well. The Ti Sport gains 19-inch bright five-hold aluminum wheels, while the Quadrifoglio adds on anodized brake calipers with red Alfa Romeo script and a new rear-seat design that offers 40/20/40 foldability and a third middle-seat headrest.  Standards carrying over from the previous year include standard leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, passive entry, remote start, xenon headlamps with LED running lights, LED taillights, DNA Drive Mode selector, and rear back-up camera with parking sensors.

Bright and responsive performance continues with the Giulia's two powertrains.  The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder supplies a responsive 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque in either rear- or all-wheel drive.  Up to sixty-percent of torque power is divertable to the AWD's front axle when the extra power is needed, making this configuration safer throughout the seasons and weather conditions.  The crowning jewel of this line is the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that comes equipped within the Quadrifoglio, delivering a class-leading 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque.  This top trim can launch from zero to sixty mph in just 3.8 seconds, and sets the four-door production sedan record 7:32 lap-time upon the Nürburgring track.

Alfa Romeo provides "la meccanica delle emozioni" with their continuous improvements to the Giulia.  The 2019 model year is better than ever with its new stylizing choices and consistent, Italian bred performance.  The critics agree, the Giulia is 2018's Best Car and MotorTrend's Car of the Year, and we're excited to see the continued success of this fantastic sport-performance sedan.  For more information, you can explore the standard features of the Giulia's trim levels in order to pick out your personal favorite model.
