How We Take Care of Tires:

Tire Rotations: One of the most important ways to take care of your Alfa Romeo's tires are routine tire rotations. No matter your drivetrain configuration, the front tires on your Alfa Romeo can wear down faster than those in the rear because most of the vehicle's weight rests on the front wheels. In order to ensure routine wear and tear on your four tires, they need to be rotated. Your service technician can determine the best rotation pattern for your Alfa Romeo tires. Our team suggests that you have your Alfa Romeo's tires rotated every 6,000 miles.

Tire Tread: One of the key indicators you need a tire rotation is the tread of your tires. Your tread is in charge of creating friction with the road, stopping on time, and bald tires can make it difficult to do so. There are a number of things to look for when checking your tire tread, in addition to the depth of the tread, that can indicate other problems. If you notice more wear in the center of the tire tread, they may be over inflated. If you notice more wear on the shoulders of the tires, they may be under inflated. Uneven wear on all four tires could indicate that your tires are improperly aligned. If you notice any of these things, our service center can help you.

Tire Pressure: We briefly went over tire inflation when talking about the tread. If you notice more wear on the center of the tire, you should release some air from the tire, if more wear is on the shoulders of the tire, you need to add more air. It is important to monitor your tire pressure consistently as the weather can alter the air pressure in your tires throughout the day. There are two ways to determine how much air pressure is needed in your Alfa Romeo's tires. You can look in the owner's manual or on the sticker placed in the driver's door jamb.

Alignments: Tire alignments don't need to take place as often as rotations or air pressure but they are incredibly important. Alignments ensure that your Alfa Romeo's tires wear evenly over time. If your tires are out of alignment, which can be caused by hitting potholes or traveling on rough terrain, they will start to wear unevenly which impacts your braking and more.
